- NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is soliciting information for potential sourcesinterested in a Cooperative Agreement for effective Educator Resource Center (ERC)support. NASA ERCs are located across the country. Although not inherently NASA-funded,they are NASA supported and receive NASA education resources and training to promoteScience Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education at state or regional level. ERCsdistribute and loan NASA- and STEM-themed educational resources to educators. Studentsand educators are also provided opportunities to visit ERCs and participate in learningexperiences with NASA Centers, educational workshops for students, and professionaldevelopment activities for educators. The ERC is anticipated to provide 1) STEMProfessional Development Workshops 2) Repository of Materials of instructional products,for copying and distributing to educators and students 3) Onsite and offsite K-12hands-on STEM workshops that engage students in activities and discussions on STEM topicsand careers 4)Educational facility tours guiding visitors through hands-on activitiesdesigned to explain scientific concepts, as relate to STEM topics, aerospace research andexploration, and the mission of KSC. 5) Student and educator online workshop registrationsystem 6) STEM activities evaluated via NASAs Office of Education PerformanceMeasurement (OEPM) online system.~~~~~~To support acquisition planning activities, NASA KSC is seeking interested parties andsuggestions relevant to successfully continuing, as well as improving/expanding this ERCsupport. The desired result is to maximize dissemination of STEM education, materials anddevelopment, supported by current technology, systems and content, while cultivating andretaining a stable professional staff, while expending the budget provided. Improvedon-site current technology teaching tools and staff fringe benefits are highly desirableadditions. ~~~~~~The purpose of this notice is to provide NASA KSC with potential, interested, competitivesources for effective Educator Resource Center (ERC) support. ~~~~~~NASA is inviting industry, academia, other government and non-government organizations toprovide information. Sources having capabilities or information necessary to meet orexceed the stated broad requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation,literature, brochures, and references specifying interest and abilities, with a maximumof 5 pages. Please include the following: name and address of firm; synopsis of relevantwork performed in the past five years, point of contact address and phone number. ContactBeverly Davis at John F.
