- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice to obtain availability of companies who can provide Rental of 9 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV)for the Oklahoma City-Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC)at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The Air Force is conducting a market research survey of industry to determine potential vendors who have the knowledge or potential capability to provide leasing of these items. Based on a review of industry response to this sources sought notice, the government intends to award a contract to the qualified vendor providing the best value to the government for the following items/services; Provide Rental of nine (9) High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) to Naval Air Station Fallon, NV, for government use in conducting convoy training sessions from 31 August 2010 through 10 September 2010 and from 5 October 2010 through 16 October 2010. All vehicles shall be fully operational and capable of traversing paved and dirt roads as well as light off-road applications. Each vehicle shall be equipped with a hard top and mounts for crew served weapons. Three of the vehicles shall have turrets in addition to crew served weapon mounts. Each vehicle shall be painted in a tactical paint scheme, preferably desert tan. All vehicles for the first training session shall be delivered to Naval Air Station Fallon, NV, motor pool no later than 8 A.M. PST on 31 August 2010 and picked up no later than 6 P.M. PST on 10 September 2010. All vehicles for the second training session shall be to delivered to Naval Air Station Fallon, NV, motor pool no later than 8 A.M. PST on 5 October 2010 and picked up no later than 6 P.M. PST on 16 October 2010. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of potential business sources capable of accomplishing the requirements stated above. The government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract.
