Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation, CBP-SOL-10-20058927, is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-44. The associated NAICS codes are 611519 and 611210. United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seek competition for Contractor to provide certification training to designated CBP personnel to obtain "Class B" Commercial Driving License. The Certified primary operator must ensure safe operation of the equipment, which includes setting up the controlled area and ensuring the secondary operator continually monitors the conveyance being scanned. Operators of Mobile Truck X-ray systems must posses a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Operators will adhere to Department of Transportation requirements for Federal employees. The period of performance will be the established timeframe set forth by the driving school to complete the course. Place of performance: Pharr, TX. SECURITY: There is no specific security classification level requirement associated with this procurement action. Information is deemed unclassified. The driving school instructors supporting this action shall be U.S. Citizens, and free of criminal convictions. The driving school shall comply with the CBP administrative, physical and technical security controls to ensure that the Government's security requirements are met. During the course of this agreement, the driving school shall not use, disclose, or reproduce data, which bears a restrictive legend, other than as required in the performance of this agreement. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION: Any information made available to the contractor by the government or its customers shall be used only for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this contract. This information shall not be divulged or made known in any manner to any persons except as may be necessary in the performance of the contract. In the performance of this contract, the contractor assumes responsibility for the protection of the confidentiality of government records. The contractor will adhere to the requirements found in Part 24 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Protection of Privacy and Freedom of Information. United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will evaluate the offeror's submission/proposal on their ability to provide support at a reasonable and realistic price (to include any discounts offered).
