Description
1. The Contractor shall provide transportation, labor, materials, equipment, and any other needed material for the purpose of this project. Work must continue throughout the day from equipment removal to operational startup and acceptance. 2. Replace an existing Trane air cooled chiller model Number CGA180B4H0EA with an equivalent new hermetic, multiple-scroll compressor, air-cooled, 15 ton liquid chiller. 3. Purchase, receive, store and deliver new chiller to job site. Unit shall be delivered to job site fully assembled, and charged with refrigerant and oil by the Manufacturer. 4. The unit is located on the roof of the building. Care must be taken not to damage the roof during installation. The Contractor shall provide crane service to rig and dispose of the old unit and Rig and Install in full accordance with Manufacturers requirements. 5. Drain existing glycol and refrigerant, dispose of per EPA standards. 6. Disconnect chill water piping and wiring from old unit. 7. Adjust and level chiller on support structure. Contractor is responsible for any modification of the support structure necessary to support the new chiller. 8. Make all electrical power and control connections using existing 460 VAC electrical services. 9. Make all chilled water connections. Reroute chilled water piping as necessary and connect to new chiller. Insulate new chilled water piping as well as any surfaces disturbed during removal/installation. Refill unit with 30/50 mix of propylene glycol and water. 10. Provide complete start up by a factory technician to ensure proper operation of the chiller. 11. Bidders shall participate in a site visit, 18 August 2010, 0900 at 915 Toll House Avenue, Suite 211. Point of contact is Dennis Angel or Tim Murphy at 301-846-5411.
