Description
This is a follow-on to Sources sought RFI PFPA04052010. Performance: The contractor shall coordinate with TSA for the shipment of 2ea Secure 1000 systems (Serial Numbers: S707151271 and S507211298) currently in storage at the TSA Warehouse in Houston, Texas to the contractor’s maintenance facility. Once the systems are received at the contractor’s maintenance facility the contractor shall complete the following tasks: Task 1: Contractor shall completely refurbish the scanning systems with new system components; which at a minimum will include: new computer systems and cabling, replacement of generators and scan drives (as required), replacement of detectors (as required), and other components as necessary. The systems will further undergo full diagnostics testing prior to passing internal Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Prior to shipment the contractor will confirm both systems are Fully Mission Capable, and all cosmetic upgrades have been performed. Additionally, systems will ship with all updated operator manuals. Task 2: The contractor will arrange for and ship both units to the Pentagon and coordinate the delivery of the systems with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). Task 3: The contractor will conduct a pre-installation site visit to confirm site is ready for acceptance of the systems and to ensure a smooth installation process. Further, the contractor will coordinate the installation of the systems with PFPA. Task 4: The contractor will conduct hands-on operator training for PFPA personnel to ensure personnel are prepared to correctly and efficiently properly power-up and operate the systems. Rapiscan FSR will be available to oversee initial operation of the systems by these trained operators to ensure an effective transition. Deliverables: Contractor will ensure all facets of upgrade; shipment, installation, and training are coordinated with PFPA Points of Contact.
