- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted on NECO/FBO satisfies the requirement of FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). (http://www.neco.nayy.mil) and www.fbo.gov.THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, SUBMIT QUOTES / PROPOSALS AND CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL QUOTES OR PROPOSALS RECEIVED BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS POSTING WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT.The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis, Sole Source, the following items:Power Control Unit, Qty: 6 EA, P/N: 703-S1035, 3 Phase RPC Rev. 'A'The Government reserves the right to award on an all or nothing, or partial basis.The NAICS code is: 335311 and the size standard: 750 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a 'SOLE SOURCE' requirement. The contract type will be a Firm, Fixed Price.This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: Microsemi Corp. ~ Power Management Group, as the only source that can produce this specific type of Display Unit. They are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). These Power Control Units are an integral part of the craft electrical distribution systems including emergency power circuits, above weather deck junction boxes and represents a critical item to ensure personnel safety and/or prevention of lethal electrical shock hazards. These units meet Shipboard Requirements. They are currently installed on various DDG ships and will work in conjunction with existing hardware and software. Microsemi Corp. has already performed the required testing for shipboard shock and environmental requirements. Any firms believing that they can provide the material may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting office no later than 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the material without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
