- SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS The Bureau of Public Debt, on behalf of the Office of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) intends to award an Order to Biotage, LLC on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, for two RapidTrace (formerly owned by Caliper Life Sciences) workstations. The workstations purchased will replace TTB's old RapidTrace modules that are only capable of accommodating 1-mL and 3-mL immunoaffinity gel cartridges. The new RapidTrace workstations will allow TTB to more efficiently perform sample preparations using the 6-mL Myco6in1 TM columns. Biotage is the only manufacturer capable of customizing and supplying the needed 6-mL Gel Column Adapter Kit upon using the 6-mL Vicam's Myco6in1 TM LC/MS/MS immunoaffinity gel columns. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 19, 2010 by 12:00pm ET. Responses shall be submitted to PSB3@bpd.treas.gov, Attention GHuffman-JC. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
