- Description
- Non-Forested Vegetation Monnitoring: This non-forested vegetation monitoring contract has one bid item for a minimum of 100 plots using Common Non-Forested Vegetation Sampling Procedures (CNVSP). CNVSP combine various monitoring methods to capture a variety of vegetative attributes in landscapes with less than 10% tree cover; typically grass and shrub lands. The sampling protocols encompass the following methods: • 200 quadrats to be placed along four transects of 50 quadrats each to measure ground cover, frequency, and dry weight ranking • Standing crop production and litter collection which requires measuring and weighing material when wet and dry • Woody Species characterization • 1/10 acre radial plot to estimate vegetative cover by life form and percent species
