- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order under FAR Part 13.106-1(b). The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center, Mt. Weather, VA 20135-2006 requires a preventative maintenance agreement (to include calibration and Instrument Performance Certification) of Hach monitoring equipment. FEMA intends to make an award to Hach Company located in Loveland, CO. Hach Company is the sole manufacturer of the proprietary equipment and the only company authorized to provide Instrument Performance Certification of the equipment. Any interested vendors that believe they can satisfy this requirement to provide the preventative maintenance of the Hach monitoring equipment may submit their capabilities, qualifications, and product literature fully supporting that they may meet all the specifications contained herein by email to Deborah Foster at deborah.foster@dhs.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. on August 6, 2010. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses will be considered for information purposes only.
