- This is a request for information only. Your response is not an offer and does not commit the Government to pay any costs incurred in preparation of any submission to this market survey, or to contract for supplies/services. The Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) is conducting a market survey to identify vendors who are able to import for government sale the below listed weapon systems. Degtyryov 7.62x39mm Light Machine Gun (a.k.a. RPD)Country of origin: Made in Poland (model "D")Required components: sling, gun bagRequired condition: newRequired quantity: 198 guns with components Dragonov 7.62x54mm Sniper Rifle (a.k.a SVD)Country of Origin: Made in RussiaRequired components: (6) magazines pouches, (1) sling, (1) gun bag, (1) optic (POSP or PSO), (1) bipod, (1) cleaning kit, (1) blank firing adaptor, (1) operator's manualRequired condition: newRequired quantity: 108 guns with components Kalashnikov 7.62x54mm General Purpose Machine Gun (a.k.a. PKM)Country of Origin: Made in HungaryRequired components: (1) cleaning kit, (1) tripod, (1) gun bag, (1) drum/ammo bag, (1) sigh adjustment tool, (1) slingRequired condition: newRequired quantity: 198 guns with components Companies possessing the capability noted above are encouraged and invited to submit a statement of capability and pricing materials. Responses must include the following: corporate business size, stating whether the company is 8(a) certified, disabled veteran-owned, veteran owned, woman owned, HUB Zone, Native American, or other Small Business Administration approved designations and earliest delivery date for the products to be delivered. MCSC will use the results of this announcement to determine what capabilities exist in the marketplace to fulfill the Government's requirement outlined above. This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the information requested. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement, outlining their ability to meet this potential requirement no later than 3:00pm EST, 20 August 2010.
