- The Louis A. Johnson VA Healthcare System in Clarksburg, WV, has a requirement for Mobile Lithotripsy Services. Services shall be provided one or more days each month. The unit must be prepared to perform the first procedure of the day at 8:00 a.m. and continue to perform procedures until the VAMC's schedule for the day is completed. The contractor's Technician shall be certified and trained in Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) services and operation of the Unit(s). The Technician will assist the attending Urologist and other physicians in the operation of the device. The Technician may be required to operate the device and any related imaging equipment during procedures. The contractor shall provide electrodes required to perform the procedures. The contractor shall provide a state of the art unit that can be easily moved into the operating rooms or endoscopy suite at the VAMC. The contractor shall provide technical support within 2 hours of any technical difficulty that is experienced with the ESWL equipment. Maintenance of the device to include service and preventative maintenance to ensure that the device unequivocally performs/operates at a level equal to the original equipment's manufacturer specifications. Contractor shall deliver all reports, digital, film and file records of all procedures performed with the device to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) at the conclusion of each treatment day for all patients who received lithotripsy. These medical records shall be the property of the VA Clarksburg. Contractor shall perform all services under this agreement in accordance with any and all regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to facility, including without limitations, those requirements imposed by the Joint Commission. Contractor shall provide consultation, if requested, in the development of protocols, utilization review, peer review and risk management as required by Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies. Contractor shall provide data that indicates quality control measures are being practiced. Solicitation VA-244-10-RP-0368 will be issued on or about August 23, 2010. The Government will use a best value source selection in accordance with FAR 13.106-2 and intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of this solicitation. The resulting contract will be effective for a base year with the Government's option to exercise four (4) one-year option periods. The NAICS code is 621999 with a size standard of $10 million.
