- Government Responses to Solicitation Number W15P7T10RH612 Dismount Detection Radar (DDR) 1. EMSolutions Question: If the RFI mentioned below leads to a Solicitation, do you anticipate it being released via the S3 vehicle or as a stand-alone procurement? Response: The Government is currently establishing the type of acquisition strategy. RFI responses will aid in this process. 2.Syracuse Research Center Question: IAW the instructions stated in the GMTI & SAR for the Dismount Detection Radar (DDR) RFI (Solicitation # W15P7T10RH612), please provide SRC Inc a copy of the classified specification for DDR. The document should be sent to our classified address listed below. Response: Sent under separate cover. 3. INPUT Question: I have a brief question regarding the RFI for the current state of GMTI and SAR for the development of DDR (Solicitation #: W15P7T10RH612). I just wanted to confirm whether or not this is a follow-on for the Synthetic Aperture Radar/Ground Moving Target Indicator (SAR/GMTI) contract currently being fulfilled by Northrop Grumman (Contract #W15P7T08CP427). Response: This is not a follow-up to any contract. This request is for information only in order for the Government to have an understanding of what technology/capability is currently available. The future development of DDR will be a unique state of the art sensor. The acquisition strategy is currently being developed. 4. Northrop Grumman Question 1: We are interested in your RFI for GMTI. I clicked on the link but didnt see any attached documents. Could you please send us the full RFI Response 1: The RFI can be viewed on Interactive Business Opportunities Page, Market Research (drop down menu) Date Posted 07/26/2010 Solicitation #W15P7T10RH612. Question 2: What sensor type and platform does this refer to? Radar? FLIR? Helicopter? UAV? Response 2: This RFI is for a GMTI and SAR sensor. Its intended platform is a fixed wing UAS or manned platform. Question 3: Is the Army NVESD (Ft. Belvoir) or Army ARL involved in this? Response 3:CERDEC I2WD is requesting this information. No other Army agencies are currently involved. Question 4: Is this related to an upcoming RFP? Response 4: Currently, this request is for information only in order for the Government to have an understanding of what technology/capability is currently available. The Government is in the preliminary stage of setting requirements and addressing an acquisition strategy for a future RFP. 5. LongShortWay Inc Question 1: We do GMTI tool development and analyst support for AF ESC and JIEDDO. Could you please clarify your RFI: what are your goals and what is the focus - systems, tools, analysis? Response 1: Our goal is develop, build and test an airborne GMTI/SAR sensor for detection and classification of moving dismounts.
