Description
Sole Source Intent. The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center Yuma, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Mallory Engineering, Inc., located at 2779 Directors Row, Salt Lake City UT 84104-4546. This requirement will be for services to upgrade the control system software from GP5 to MS Vista OS in order to be compliant with network computer requirements. The control system is located at Gun position 5 chamber and is running under Windows 2000 operating system. YPG is under a mandate to upgrade all network computers to Windows Vista to bring them under compliance. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and Part 13, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 541519 with a standard size of $25M. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed items. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability provide these items, interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability of meeting the Governments requirement by Tuesday, August 10, 2010 8:00 AM MST. All inquiries shall be clearly marked with number W81R8T0166RM03 and either sent by facsimile to (928) 328-6849 or contact (928) 328-2093 with solicitation number for further information.
