Description
Suspension Training Kit The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development & Engineering Center (NSRDEC), Natick, MA, Clothing and Configuration Management Team on behalf of the Product Manager, Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment have identified a need for Suspension Training Kit producers that have the capability to produce the Suspension Training Kit which provides an apparatus to maintain conditioning while on the battlefield. Suspension Training Kit (STK) is a portable exercise system that supports the Soldier as a System concept by significantly increasing functional strength, muscular balance, joint mobility, and core strength. The STK should require no additional equipment, making it essential for deployed Soldiers, especially in tactical environments with limited or no gym facilities available. Suspension training kit should allow a method of using leveraged bodyweight exercise and easily set up. Allows safe performance of hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and prevent injuries, at varied levels of intensity All Proposals must include product demonstration samples and documentation (independent test results, literature, etc) to validate the following characteristics; 1.BASELINE SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS (Minimums or Thresholds) Suspension Training Kit i.The Suspension Training Kit, must weigh less than 2lbs and include anchoring supports ii.the Suspension Training Kit, must be able to set up in minutes and be highly portable iii.The Suspension Training Kit must contain usage instructions. iv.Suspension Training Kit must include a carrying bag. 2.DESIRABLE SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS (Exceeding) Suspension Training Kit i.The Suspension Training Kit should include DVD instruction/training guidance. ii.The Suspension Training Kit should be available in multiple solid colors and camouflage prints without overtaxing logistical capabilities. The intentions of this RFI are to investigate qualifying producers of suspension training kits as described above. The government is conducting this market investigation to acquire information on the types and sizes of businesses that will be able to compete on future contracting actions, potential costs, as well as delivery capabilities. Interested firms are requested to submit relevant information on their company within ten (10) days following the publication of this RFI. Any relevant company background/experience, business category, costs, and any other information that the company believes demonstrates their value / ability to meet the aforementioned requirements should be included. Respondents must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and provide a DUNS number. Firms may register for CCR at www.ccr.gov. All information and evaluation results will be controlled and used for governmental purposes only.
