- Description
- The Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) program office, NAVAIR PMA251 will host a virtual Industry and Academia Day on 15 September 2010 starting at 1:00 pm EDT and concluding at 5:00 pm EDT. ALRE systems are broad based, and are installed on various ship platforms and shore locations, providing the interface between the aircraft and ship/shore. This event will review the ALRE program S&T "Flight Plan" and highlight technology gaps across several ALRE systems. This event is intended to solicit interest and feedback from industry and universities in teaming with PMA251 to solve ALRE systems ship and shore challenges via technology infusion. This virtual event will be publicly accessible via Internet web conference utilizing Defense Connect Online (DCO) and required registration will be open 15 August through 10 September. To register, please visit the NAVAIR Lakehurst website - http://www.navair.navy.mil/lakehurst, click the ALRE Industry and Academia Day link and complete the form. Instructions and conference participation information will be provided. All of the briefing material will be loaded onto our website by 13 September prior to the event and will be available to all who register.
