- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NACIS 238290 (size standard of $14.0 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Federal Business Opportunities website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement. The Veterans Affairs, VISN 22 Networking Contracting Activity is seeking sources for a potential contractor to provide building equipment for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. This procurement is for a self-propelled articulating boom lift and a high reach rough terrain telehandler. The self-propelled articulating boom lift options include alarm package, platform work light, control box cover and swing gate with pre-delivery inspection/instruction. Specifications include but are not limited to: a working height maximum of 51 ft, platform height maximum of 45 ft, horizontal reach maximum of 25 ft, lift capacity 500 lbs., platform rotation 180 degrees. The high reach rough terrain telehanlder options include a flashing beacon, work lights for front and tail along with a back up and pre-delivery inspection/instruction. Specifications include but are not limited to maximum height of 44 ft, reach 27 ft, reach at maximum height 3 ft-6 in, maximum lift capacity 6,000 lbs., lift capacity at maximum height 6,000 lbs, lift capacity at maximum reach 2,000 lbs. If you are interested, and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small; (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business?; (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act?; (4) Is your firm a certified 'Hubzone' firm?; (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business?; (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business? Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Rebecca Gloria, at VISN 22 Network Contracting Activity, e-mail address: rebecca.gloria@va.gov. Please indicate 'Equipment for VASNHS' in your email subject. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. August 9, 2010. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
