- The following questions are being answered, which were received by the Contracting Office. 1. In the Background Section, you mention that the solution is to be integrated into the current Quality Management System. Which system is currently in place? Answer: The DLA Distribution (formerly Defense Distribution Center) Quality Management System (QMS) is a comprehensive program to ensure operational compliance of distribution and installation service requirements. An integral component within the DLA Distribution QMS is the requirement of a software system to serve as the scheduling and documentation repository database which hosts the program's pertinent surveillance results. This RFI is for a COTS/Modified COTS software system solution to use in conjunction within the DLA Distribution's QMS program (policy and procedures). The COTS/Modified COTS software system solution will not be integrated into another software solution, but rather will be incorporated into the QMS program as a whole. 2. Is this solution in regards to IT Quality Management or more of a basic function Quality Management? Answer: See the answer provided to Question #1 above.
