- Description
- This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 5.3. This solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposals (RFP), FA4800-10-R-0013, on or about 10 August 2010. This acquisition is being issued as a competitive 8(a) using the clause FAR 52.219-18, Notification of Competition Limited to Eligible 8(a) Concerns, with 252.219-7010, Alternate A, and is being processed in accordance with the PA cited in 219.800. The associated NAICS code is 562111 with a $12.5M size standard. The requirement is for solid waste management to include recycling at Joint Base Langley-Fort Eustis, Virginia and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Hampton, Virginia. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for the 17th and 18th of August 2010. The schedule follows: 17 Aug 10: 9am - 12pm, meet at 633 CONS, 74 Nealy Ave, Building 90, Langley AFB, VA. This day will include a site visit of Langley AFB and the VAMC. 18 Aug 10: 9am - 12pm, meet at 633 CONS 74 Nealy Ave, Building 90, Langley AFB, VA. This day will include a site visit of Fort Eustis, Virginia. Attendees are limited to two (2) people per company. Names must be submitted by e-mail to the Points of Contact listed in this notice, no later than 16 August 2010 at noon in order to be included on the list for a visitor's pass. The e-mail shall include the company name, only certified 8(a) companies will be admitted for the pre-proposal conference. For access to Langley AFB, visitors must enter through the LaSalle Gate and stop at the visitor's center for a pass, bring a driver's license. In order to obtain a vehicle pass for Langley AFB bring vehicle registration, proof of insurance and driver's license. Allow sufficient time to process through the visitor's center as it will be congested. Maps will be handed out at the pre-proposal conference, these will NOT be posted to FedBizOpps.
