- This notice is to serve as a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming solicitation for mail presort services for Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 510 East Stoner Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101 in accordance with the solicitation/contract terms, conditions, and provisions. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to provide bar code presorting services to the Shreveport. The Contractor shall pick up VA's first class metered mail at 2:15 PM (Central Time) Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, at the VA's designated location(s). The mail will be prepared by VA personnel in accordance with current postal rules and regulations. The Contractor shall pre-sort the VA's mail at their facility and deliver to the US Post Office by 3:30 PM on the same day that the mail is picked up from the VA. On average, it is estimated the VA generates 1,000 pieces of mail daily. The Contractor shall accomplish this service in accordance with all current postal rules and regulations. Your response to the request for proposal must contain all requested pricing and non pricing information (technical and past performance). It is anticipated that the contract awarded will be for a twelve month base period and four one year option periods. The NAICS code for this effort is 561499, All Other Business Support Services with a small business size standard of $7.0 Million. This procurement will be a100% Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. The actual solicitation will be posted on or after August 20, 2010 under solicitation number VA-256-10-RP-0289 and will contain the detailed requirements for this acquisition.
