- EL PASO VEHICLE MAINTENANCE SHOP, EL PASO, EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS. The proposed procurement is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project will be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00 dollars. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 17 August 2010, with proposals due on or about 17 September 2010. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the following minimum goals: 70.0% for Small Business; 6.2% for Small Disadvantaged Business; 7.0% for Women-Owned Small Business; 9.8% for HUB Zone Small Business; 3.5% for Veteran-Owned Small Business; and 2.0% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. THE PROJECT is designed to support the new Border Patrol Station. This new 40,615 square foot facility will provide vehicle maintenance support. It includes 24 vehicle repair bays (8 medium vehicle bays, 14 light vehicle bays, 2 large bays for buses and semi-trucks), two tire changing stations, administrative offices, 185 vehicle parking, bulk oil storage, welding shop, tire storage, battery storage, semi-truck parking, inside vehicle wash bay, locker rooms with showers, break rooms and quiet rooms, and mechanical mezzanines. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation for Bid. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract.
