Description
AC AME AUDITORIUM Project consists of the removal and replacement of one (1) split condensing Air Conditioning Unit. Contractor will install 1 new, gas fired, side discharge, heating and cooling rooftop unit of 15 ton cooling capacity. New unit is to utilized R 410a refrigerant. Base DDC system controls are to be interfaced into new unit. Stratton ANGB utilizes Johnson Controls Metasys System. The existing system is to be utilized to tie in the new unit. Contractor will install a steel gas line from building main at rear of building to connect to the new roof top unit (RTU). The gas line is to be painted yellow as per local codes. All existing outside ductwork is to be capped off and sealed. Any newly installed ductwork will be insulated and sealed. The existing air handler along with heating coil, condenser and piping units will be recovered and removed by contractor. Contractor is to provide all necessary wiring and control wiring and DDC interfacing to include programming at main terminal located at building 25 Civil Engineering. Contractor will remove any and all connections from old condenser unit to include but not limited to disconnects, piping and any supports. All penetrations from old condenser are to be sealed and made weather tight. Contractor is to abide by any and all EPA regulations. Contractor is to provide EPA licenses prior to commence of work. Refrigerants weights recovered will be annotated on the Base Refrigerant Management Plan: Government will provide forms. Any and all penetrations are to be sealed. Proposed model must be of equal capacity and greater efficiency than the existing model. Modifications or replacement of roof and support structures will be done as deemed necessary. Any alterations to existing support structures must be certified by a Professional Licensed Engineer.
