- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service, Sequoia National Forest (SQF) requires the professional archaeological services necessary to prepare a research design, conduct testing, and determination of eligibility for site CA-TUL-1400/2025/2066 (FS # 0513520013/33/184) at of the Upper Coffee Camp Day Use Area. Work at CA-TUL-1400/2025/2066 will help determine whether the site is eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (36 CFR 60.4) and assess the potential effects of replacing the bathroom and for future improvements of the Upper Coffee Camp Day Use Area, east of Springville, California. The project area is located in T20S; R30E; SW ¼ of SW¼ of SW ¼ of Sec 15, approximately nine miles east of Springville and eight miles west of Camp Nelson at 4,720 feet, within the Upper Coffee Camp Day Use Area (Figure 1). The Government's Estimate is less than $100,000. Estimated date to start work is September 2010. Contract completion is scheduled for April 2011.
