- FA4528-10-R-0035 The 5th Contracting Squadron requires replacement of Dormitory Smoke Detectors in ten dormitories at Minot AFB, ND. The work is 10% general and 90% electrical. The statement of magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Performance Period is 60 calendar days. Work shall be executed in accordance with the required government specifications. Water and electricity required will be furnished by the Government. The work is not in a restricted area. Liquidated damages will be assessed for late performance. A one-year Warranty of Construction will be applicable to this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors); The Business Size Standard is $14,000,000 in average annual receipts for the last three years. Work of this contract consists of demolition and replacement of 494 existing smoke detectors in ten dormitories at the Minot Air Force Base. Further requirements include but are not limited to salvage of existing outlet boxes and wiring, testing new smoke detectors, and repair of wall and ceiling surfaces damaged during demolition. The complete solicitation package, which includes the project plans and specifications, will be made available without charge only through the FedBizOpps website at https://fbo.gov/. Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from the internet. Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on FedBizOpps. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to keep updated. This project will be solicited as full and open to both large and small businesses with a 10% HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract based on "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable" process. Solicitation will be available electronically on FedBizOps on or about 18 August 2010 with an anticipated closing date on or about 18 September 2010. FAR Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation for HUBZone Small Business Concerns is applicable to this solicitation. Notice to Offerors: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date.
