- THIS PRE-SOLICITION RPLACES VA-244-10-RP-0251 ORIGINALLY POSTED ON MAY 21, 2010. THIS ACQUISITON HAS BEEN CHANGED FORM A RQUEST FOR PROOSAL TO AN INVITATION FOR BID. NO OTHER CHANGES HAVE TAKEN PLACE. LOOK FOR THE FULL SOLITION TO BE POETSED BY AUGUST 13, 2010 OR BEFORE. The Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805 intends to issue a construction contract. The Work includes the following: The scope of work includes the renovation of the East Wing and center of the Fifth Floor at the Wilmington VA Medical Center's main hospital. The space will be used as a Dialysis Treatment Suite, Urology Examination and Treatment Rooms, Offices and associated support spaces. The Demolition Work required for the project includes removal of such items but is not limited to removal of: interior partitions, floor and ceiling finishes, lighting and plumbing fixtures, electrical, plumbing, medical gas and mechanical systems, and exterior windows. The space is currently occupied and a portion of the floor will continue to be occupied through the demolition and construction of the project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The U.S. Small Business Administration size standard is $33,500,000.00. The SOLICITATION issue date will be approximately August 13 or before with an approximate response date of approximately September 13, 2010. The solicitation is an Invitation For Bid and will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The project magnitude is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. Estimated contract performance is 365 days from notice to proceed. Firms must be registered with the Central Contractors Registry http://www.ccr.gov/, and the Veterans Business Registry http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ All perspective offerors interested in submitting a proposal in response to this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). All offerors shall be registered with the Repr4esentations and Certifications ORCA website https://orca.bpn.gov/ or complete the Representations and Certifications contained in the soliciation. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site https://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck= on or about August 13, 2010. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the EPS website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
