- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Manti La Sal National Forest, is soliciting quotes/offers for a construction contract for unauthorized route decommissioning. Work will consist of scarifying of route prisms, constructing waterbars, littering route prism with rock and vegetative material, constructing large rock or pole and rail entrance barriers and related work necessary to decommission routes. The routes to be decommissioned will be located within the specified priority areas and marked on ground and map by the Contracting Officer's designated representative. Estimated start work date is the end of August. The Government estimates the magnitude of this project between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Solicitation will be available for download on or after August 11, 2010. Quotes/Offers are due on or before Thursday, August 26, 2010, 4:30 p.m. local time.

- Address: The project, located on the Manti-La Sal National Forest, is divided into Priority Areas (see vicinity map in solicitation). Priority Area #1 is an area generally in the Slaughter Flats/Pack Creek Drainage area on the Moab Ranger District and is approximately 30 miles +/- Southeast of Moab, UT. Priority Area #2 is an area generally in the Two Mile Creek area on the Moab Ranger District and is approximately 40 miles +/- Southeast of Moab, UT. Priority Area #3 is an area generally in the Pine Ridge area on the Moab Ranger District and is approximately 32 miles +/- Southeast of Moab, UT.
