Description
Modification 01- HEREBY ISSUED TO CHANGE CLOSING DATE OF SOLICITATION TO 2 P.M. PACIFIC STANDARD TIME AUG 3, 2010. This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Southwest Fisheries Science Center, located in La Jolla, CA on a sole source basis with Wildlife Computers, Inc. The government intends to acquire supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposed vendor will provide the following supplies: qty of 10 each SPOT 5, qty of 4 each 1 X AA towed PATF, qty of 30 each MK9 Achival Tags and qty of 4 each MINIPAT. These tags will be used to study the movements and behavior of a combination of highly migratory species including sharks and tuna in the California Current. These instruments are designed to work with satellite logging systems already owned and operated by NOAA. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract, for delivery to destination no later than Sept 01, 2010. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 541711. It is the Government's belief that only Wildlife Computers, Inc. can provide these supplies. This notice represents the only official notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all submittals received by the due set forth in this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a simplified acquisition estimated value not to exceed $100,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
