Description
This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have a requirement for an Instech Laboratories Bench Model Automated Blood Sampler and accessories as follows: Part# ABS212 - Automated blood sampler, 2nd gen, 12x0.5ml Microtainer Carousel - Qty: 2 EA Part# ABS2/SWI - ABS2 software, installation and training - Qty: 1 EA Part# ABS2/R - Rodent Stand for ABS2 units with swivel lever arm and IV bag holder - Qty: 2 EA Part# ABS1/USB08 - Moxa USB-to-serial conversion hub, 8 port - Qty: 1 EA Part# CBAS-C30 - CBAS heparin-coated UP catheter 3Fr, 60cm - Qty: 5 EA Part# VAH95AB - VAH harness with septum needle, sterile – Qty: 2 EA Part# KVAH95T/ABS -VAH tether kit for ABS: VAH95T/ABS, 375/22P, 1 in SIL tubing, sterile - Qty: 2 EA The automated blood sampler is used in glucose/insulin clamp experiments in mice and is a new generation of blood sampling device designed to maximally reduce the loss blood during the withdrawal and minimize the need for blood replenishment in mice. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation and provides the best value to the Government. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing to the Contracting Office Address listed or via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before August 17, 2010 @ 3:00 pm EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NIH-NICHD-10-142 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due five (5) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
