- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit a quote. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M6740010T0189 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The NAICS code is 423620. The Government intends to issue a purchase order to the responsible quoter whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government considering technical acceptability and price. Line Item 0001: Multiple Vehicle Driving Simulator Qty: 1 Minimum Characteristics: -The driving simulator shall be a stand alone solution which mimic the driving of an actual vehicle. -The simulator shall have the ability to be configured in a way to immulate a number of different types of vehicles (bus, van, pick-up truck, SUV, sedan and motorcycle). -The simulator shall mimic driving in Japan (i.e. right-hand side drive). -The simulator will have a multiple screen LCD to provide a wide field of vision to the front, and a two LCD screen rear panel to mimic a rear view mirror capability.-The solution will be able to transition from automobile to motorcycle by simply removing the steering wheel and car seat, and replacing them with handlebars and a motorcycle seat. -The simulator will have a multi-function, force-feedback steering control.-The simulator shall have pedal controls (i.e. accelerator, brake, clutch)-The simulator will have the ability to switch between automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.-The simulator will have multi-function motorcycle handlebar, to include clutch, thottle, brake and high/low beam light control.-The simulator will have controls for working simulated windshield wipers, high/low beam headlights, and hazard lights and turn signals.-The simulator shall have adjustable seats and working seat belts.-The simulator shall have a computer-based training curriculum designed to train basic driving skills for Japan, to include Japanese road signs and traffic signals, scanning principles and defensive driving techniques, collision avoidance scenarios, identifying hazards, and driving in adverse conditions, such as at night, dusk, fog, snow, rain, in a crowed urban environment, and handlingcomplex intersections and traffic patterns. -The simulator shall have a separate instructor console with computer, keyboard, mouse and headphones to allow control of the scenario. -The graphics shall be high resolution and 3-dimensional to produce true to life images.-The simulator handling shall mimic the accelerating, braking and handling characteristics of a real vehicle.-The simulator will have caster wheels to facilitate moving the simulator. -3-year on site warranty of all computer components-1-year warranty on all riding/driving components.-On site installation and training.-1-year telephone and email technical support.-Delivery Information:oDelivery point for local quoters is to CATC Camp, Fuji Supply, Attn: Hiro Takigawa, 2092 Nakabata, Gotemba City Shizuoka Pref, Japan, 412-0006oDelivery point for quoters within CONUS is to Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, Tracy Depot, Bldg. 30 CCP, 25600 Chrisman Road, Tracy, CA 95376.
