- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract with Focal Technologies Corporation (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada) for the purchase of one (1) electro-optical slip ring per Focal Technologies Corporation p/n 103045-04. The Electro-Optical Slip Ring Assembly is an upgrade to the current AN/SQR-19 Electrical Slip Ring Assembly used by the U.S. Navy Fleet. The Focal Technologies electro-optical slip ring is unique physically and functionally for compatibility with an AN/SQR-19 towing system hardware. NAICS Code 335999, Size Standard is 500 employees. Further details will be provided in Solicitation #N66604-10-Q-4236, which is anticipated to be released on or about 08/02/10. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov/) to be eligible for award.
