- Offerors are hereby invited to review and respond to this Request for Offer - SIR. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) contemplates award of an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity type contract to modernize the Alaskan Satellite Telecommunications Infrastructure (ASTI). The period of performance of the contract will be ten (10) years should all option be exercised. The Base period will be five (5) years, and is followed by five (5) one (1) year option periods. The proposals will be submitted in accordance with section L of the attached SIR. Proprietary information/data may be submitted and will be handled according to FAA procedures. Any proprietary information submitted must be adequately marked as proprietary and will be protected if appropriately marked. Any information provided under this SIR is for informational purposes only and will not be released to the public. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will NOT pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this SIR. Therefore, any costs associated with and submissions from an interested party will be solely at their expense.
