- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Applied Aquatic Management, W912EP-09-C-0005 This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). Treat Brazilian pepper trees along the C-44 and St Lucie Recreation Area. Large Brazilian pepper trees will be treated using the cutstump method. Trees will be mulched and the mulch will be disposed within the removal area. Small trees with a DBH of less than 1 inch will be treated using the basil bark application method. A follow-up treatment will be conducted within 6 months of the initial treatment in order to treat any vegetation missed, re-growth or new seedling growth. The additional funding of $138,295.00 is based on current expenditures of approximately $5,700.00 per week.
