- RECOVERY ACTION: The Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded a contract to North Wind Services, LLC, Idaho Falls, Idaho, an Alaskan Native Owned Corporation as a non-competitive United States Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program set-aside. This contract is for the construction and management services of the Accelerated Retrieval Project (ARP) VII Facility and ancillary structures over Pit 10 West at the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC), at the Idaho National Laboratory. It is a firm-fixed-price construction contract funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for a total value of $13.99 million. The construction work at the RWMC is the selected remedy in the Operable Unit 7-13/14 Record of Decision. This work includes the procurement and construction of the complete prefabricated, tensioned membrane (fabric) structures for the enclosure, airlock, passageway, and snow canopies of the ARP VII facility.
