- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Housekeeping and Fabric Care Department, intends to procure the necessary Specialized Housekeeping Services for the Clinical Center (CC), the Ambulatory Clinical Research Facility (ACRF), The Clinical Research Center (CRC) and the Edmund J. Safra Family Lodge. The purpose of this requirement is to obtain all necessary services, supervision, and labor, not otherwise provided by the Government, as needed to perform services to provide a safe and clean hospital for patients, visitors, and staff. A market Survey (Housekeeping052010) has been conducted and it has been determined that a Full and Open solicitation will be issued with a small business goal of 40%. This pre-solicitation synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. A firm-fixed price requirements based contracts is contemplated. The base period will be for 12 months commencing December 1, 2010 through November 30, 2011, with four 12 month option periods. Option years will be renewable as provided in FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (March 2000). The NIH anticipates that the RFP will be available approximately 15 days from the date of this notice and the closing date will be 30 days from the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on fedbizopps.gov on or about august 17, 2010. This requirement will be awarded using the procedures set forth under FAR Part 15; Contracting by Negotiation.
