- Description
- The National Institutes of Health intends to procure the necessary research support services required to conduct basic and applied biomedical research in the areas of image processing, information technology, neurophysiology, pharmacology, chemistry, genetics and to help conduct clinical protocols. The purpose of the requirement is to obtain the scientific and technical and administrative support services needed to develop and expand systems used for the afore mentioned areas. As a market survey- NIHCL2010070 has been conducted for this requirement it has been determined that it will be procured as a 100% small business set-aside. This presolicitation synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. A firm fixed-price Requirements based contract is contemplated. The base period of performance will be 12 months from the date of award,with four 12 month option periods. Therefore renewable as provided in FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. The National Institutes of Health anticipates that the RFP will be available approximately fifteen (15 days from the posted date of this notice. The closing date will be approximately thirty (30) days after release of the RFP. This requirement will be awarded using the procedures prescribed under FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The solicitation will be posted on the www.fedbizopps.gov on about August 13, 2010.
