- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) intends to issue a solicitation for re-warehousing services at the FEMA Distribution Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Award date is approximately August 25, 2010. It is anticipated that a written request for quotation will be issued on or about August 6, 2010. The solicitation will be set aside for small business as this will be a firm-fixed-priced contract. A site visit will be held for all interested vendors. All vendors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit as structural drawings or photographs will not be included with the solicitation. The Distribution Center requires the following services as part of its re-warehousing project: •- Disassemble, stack, and band two steel mezzanine structures on FEMA provided pallets •- Disassemble a mobile office unit in one warehouse, transport it, and reassemble it in a warehouse approximately one half mile away •- Install contractor supplied Mecalux racking in the spaces formerly occupied by the mezzanines •- FEMA currently has assembled 46 18' uprights, 72 row spacers, and 234 8' beams that the Contractor will disassemble, move to a new location in the same warehouse, and reassemble The NAICS code will be 423830 with a small business size standard of 100 employees.
