- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Contracting Office, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for the Office of Information and Technology (OI&T). The TAC intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to EmeSec Inc., 1818 Liberty Street, Suite 500, Reston, VA, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, to provide support services to the Office of Cyber Security (OCS). The Government has a requirement for contractor support services to assist in the development of various security/information technology policies issued by the VA OCS. The scope includes participation in workgroups to better understand policy requirements, revisions to directives, handbook and guidance templates, and support in mitigating end-user problems arising from policy implementation issues. A one (1) year contract with two (2) option years is planned. Place of performance shall be at the VA facility at 728 TJ Jackson Drive, Falling Waters, WV, 25419. The estimated date of award for this action is August 24, 2010. This effort shall be awarded under the Veterans First Contracting Program. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)(or 10 USC 2304(c) (1)) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-5 entitled, "Authorized or required by statute," pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461, codified at 38 U.S.C. 8127. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 541690. This notification shall close on August 17, 2010.
