Description
FULL TITLE: Sole Source Announcement to integrate the 10.3.01 software developed on the V-22 Avionics and Flight Controls System Engineering and Software Maintenance Support contract in CV-22 Flight Training Devices to comply with training requirements and to maintain concurrency with Fleet aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-07-G-0008 to the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office for the integration of the 10.3.01 software into the CV-22 FTD in order to comply with training requirements and to maintain concurrency with Fleet aircraft. The contractor shall provide, install, integrate, align, and test, as required the following: • Block 10.3.01 aircraft software so that it meets the performance requirements of the design basis aircraft as installed on CV-22 FTD #3 • Block 10.3.01 aircraft hardware so that it meets the performance requirements of the design basis aircraft as installed on CV-22 FTD #3. • Block 10.3.01 compatible VMS and Math Model Software so that it meets the performance requirements of CV-22 FTD #3. • Computational system software to accomidate the Block 10.3.01 revisions to meet the performance requirements of CV-22 FTD #3 • Instructor/Operator Station (IOS) software to accomidate the Block 10.3.01 revisions to meet the performance requirements of CV-22 FTD #3. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, and maintenance and support characteristics of the aircraft.
