- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to solicit, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), for off-load and land-haul services for nuclear reactor compartments from the Port of Benton, WA to Hanford, WA. Annual requirement for a base year period of performance (estimated to begin 3 January 2011) with the possibility of (2) one year option periods. Complete specification requirements will be included in the solicitation. A technical proposal is required with each offer. This shall be an unrestricted solicitation and will not be a commercial acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC, Puget Sound. Approximate size of the packages to be off-loaded, hauled and placed in the disposal trench are: horizontal cylindrical packages, 1131 short tons, 42 feet long, 38 feet wide and 32 feet overall height (Group A); and horizontal cylindrical packages, 1680 short tons, 47 feet long, 46 feet wide a! nd 34 feet overall height (Group C). Estimated quantities include one Group A and one Group C in the base year; two Group C in the first option year; and two Group C in the second option year. The acquisition will be solicited anticipating award of a Firm, Fixed-Price Requirements type service with several labor hour line items, contract. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 23 August 2010 with a closing on 22 September 2010. Complete specifications to be included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. Offerors must also be registered in the Contractors Central Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement at http://www.ccr.gov.
