- Description
- The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to procure from a small business a quantity of 3 (three) Signal Data Converter Prototype Production Chassis, with applicable drawings for the production, assembly, test and acceptance for a Signal Data Converter (SDC). The SDC Prototype shall be comprised of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Non-Developmental Items (NDI) components to meet functional requirements. The SDC Prototype shall be a VME 64-bit backplane with 8 to 10 slots, air cooled, high pressure fans, aluminum chassis that includes custom I/O wiring harnesses as well as military harnesses and military receptacle connectors. The contractor shall cross reference the government furnished assembly drawings and generate applicable drawings for the production of the SDC Prototype. Delivery must be no later than 112 days ARO for the first unit. The two additional units with updated with parts, wiring lists and assemble drawings shall be 30 days after the first. These items will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedure in accordance with FAR Part 13. A Small Business Set-Aside commercial item solicitation will follow this synopsis in approximately one week. Award is anticipated on or before 30 August 2010.
