Description
Modified Statement of Work:Acquisition and Processing of ADS, 4-Band Multispectral Imagery Project Description: This task involves the production of digital orthophotography of the entire Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico area (as of January 2009). This imagery is to be acquired using a Leica ADS 40 or better Airborne Digital Sensor. The ADS40 is an airborne digital sensor with 2 panchromatic and 4 multispectral (RGB and near-infrared) CCD line sensors. Each sensor is set to collect forward, nadir, and backward views, and it is able to acquire the same ground area 3 times at different viewing angles. The imagery will be acquired when the sun angle is at least 30 under clear atmospheric conditions between mid-September and mid-October 2010. Imagery shall not be acquired when the ground is visibly obscured by haze, snow, frost, smoke, dust, floodwaters or other environmental factors. Final imagery shall have less than 1% obstruction due to cloud cover or other environmental factors. ADS Aerial Imagery Acquisition and Reduction: We are requesting a multi-spectral, 4-Band (R,G,B,CNIR) digital imagery dataset to be acquired using a ADS40+ (i.e., second generation ADS40-SH52) and collected at 0.44 foot (13.4 cm, 5.26 inch GSD) resolution with re-sampling to yield a 0.50 foot resolution product (15 cm, 6 inch GSD); see reference chart below from ADS manufacture Leica for generalized relationship of map scale and standards to specified GSD. Imagery acquisition for this project must use an ADS40+ (i.e. second generation ADS40-SH52) because we believe the technology employed in the ADS40+ (versus the Intergraph DMC) will provide superior imagery for our terrain and a superior product for our intended application. Specifics:1) 52.67 square mile area of 4-band, 16 bit ADS40/SH52 digital swath camera acquisition from 4800 ft AMT. (This will include approximately 100m buffers on borders where this is allowable, and up to 1000 m on the western border where that would be within the westernmost aerial swath)2) Auto-correlated 5m DEM used for ortho rectification only3) Tiff w/tfw Standard Ortho delivery, ArcGIS compatible4) 16 bit, 4-band imagery cannot be Mr. SID compressed.5) anticipated file size (all 4 bands) 144MB per section or 576 MB per section x 52.67 sq mi = 30.34 GB 6) set and maintain the Santa Fe Airport Base Station.7) allow minimum 3 days' for mobilization and acquisition depending on Flight Restrictions and weather8) final ortho product to be 0.5 ft (6") [15cm] pixel (GSD) resolution9) delivery of Ortho data within 120 days after receipt of ground control survey data and successful acquisition10) no hard copy plots are proposed11) data will be provided in NAD83 NAVD88 New Mexico State Plane Geoid 03 TargetingWestern Mapping Company will relocate and assess the condition of each of 10 survey monument established approximately one year previous to the proposed flight date of September-October. NPS will be responsible for picking up targets after the successful acquisition of imagery. Deliverables1) Digital Orthophotography - seamless, digital product (4-Band, (R,G,B,CNIR) 15 cm pixel resolution) in NAD83 NAVD88 New Mexico State Plane Geoid 03 delivered on DVD or USB compatible hard drive. Orthophoto Image files in standard TIFF format with ".tfw" georeferencing.2) Flight Index - USGS quadrangle showing location of flight lines used in this project3) Aerotriangulation and Ortho production report documenting the methods used to acquire and process imagery and generate the final digital orthophotography.4) Evaluation of 4 ft. LiDAR data for use as high-resolution DEM for rectification of Orthophotography ScheduleMobilization should commence early-September 2010 (planning, NPS meetings, travel, etc.)Fieldwork (targets, ADS data acquisition) during mid-September - mid-October 2010 timeframeADS Data Reduction would commence in November 2010.Report and deliverables should be available on or before June 30, 2011
