- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, intends to award a sole-source contract to Control Management, Inc, 3101 Carlisle Street, Columbia, SC 29205 to provide full service including all labor, equipment and material necessary to maintain the Siemens Energy Management System at the Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, S.C. 29209. The front end of the system is located in room LB184 building 100. The system monitors points and controls equipment located throughout the facility. Both critical patient areas and administrative areas are controlled by this system. This system comprises approximately 80% of the entire energy management systems on station. Siemens is the proprietary vendor and Control Management, Inc has exclusive rights to sell, design, install, and service Siemens Industry System 600 APOGEE product line. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Juan A. Jusino, Contract Specialist, at juan.jusino@va.gov or FAX: (478) 274-5771 by August 10, 2010 no later than 2:00 PM EST. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 238210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14 million. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
