- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting Service Disabled Veteran contractors for construction of a new, approximately 6,300 square foot Dental Clinic in the first floor of Building 1 at VAMC Newington, Connecticut. Main items of work include demolition and alteration of the existing space, construction of dental rooms, administrative space, and waiting areas with new partition walls, providing new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) features, and installation of new dental clinic equipment, and miscellaneous casework and fixtures. The abatement of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) is also part of this work. In addition, the construction of a Dental Materials Lab, Clean Room, and Dirty Room is part of this project. This solicitation will be available on or about August 13, 2010 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov). The due date for the bid will be stated in the solicitation. Instructions for bid submissions will be provided in the solicitation. Amendments, if any, to this solicitation will be made available at the https://fbo.gov Internet site. Neither telephone, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. In order to view this solicitation, prospective contractors are required to self register their firm with Federal Business Opportunities (Go to http://www.fbo.gov) and register now under Vendor/Citizens). Registrants are responsible for accuracy of the information on the registration list. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $33,500,000. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Firms. All responsible Service Disabled Veteran Owned firms may submit a bid for consideration by the New England District.
