- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the acquisition of a GEM Overhauser WalkingGradiometer hardware and parts as follows:1. Qty 1 - Overhauser walking gradiometer, 0.5 sec reading interval with standardaccessories2. Qty 4 - GEM Base Station Cables3. Qty 1 - Overhauser Walking Gradiometer Console4. Qty 1 - Four Sensor Remote Control which includes: stop/start, set up of tuningvalues, set sample rate and synchronize channels.5. Shipping, handling, insurance & freightNASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Gisco pursuant to FAR 13.106, for theacquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only onesource.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. local timeon August 9, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
