Description
This is a sources sought notice of the Governments intent to solicit, negotiate and award an unrestricted delivery order for a 12 month base period (01 Oct 10 30 Sept 11) and 4 twelve month option periods (01 Oct 11 30 Sep 15) and a potential 6 month extension of services (01 Oct 15 31 Mar 16), IAW FAR 52.217-8, to facilitate nonpersonal services for full emergency pediatric patient air and ground transport and ambulance services in support of the Department of Pediatrics, Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington, DC, Transport of these pediatric patients will be to WRAMC as well as the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base, and Dewitt Army Community Hospital, Fort Belvoir, VA. These full emergency pediatric air and ground patient transport and ambulance services are categorized by the following: 1) Level 1 (Transports staffed by an EMT-B and EMT-P. These transports are limited to non-critical patients {from point of origin to the facilities listed above}), 2) Level 2 (Staffed as level 1 with the addition of a registered nurse. These transports involve more serious patients who may require multiple medications administration/maintenance during transport as well as advanced airway management {from point of origin to the facilities listed above}), 3) Level 3 (Staffed as level 2 with respiratory therapist or physician. This transport involves patients with actual or suspected critical needs {from point of origin to the facilities listed above}). The Solicitation number is W91YTZ-10-R-PEDS. This notice is a requirement for the facilities annotated above. Parties interested in this and future announcements shall provide detailed information of their capabilities and certifications to clearly meet the requirements stated above. Responses(s) may be via email or on company letterhead: include companys name, point of contact, address, phone number, DUNS number, Tax ID, business size, and solicitation number. All responses must be received by 10 August 2010. Responses may be emailed to byron.bracey@us.army.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
