- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service (VR&E) has a requirement for Architect & Engineering Services for its Buffalo Regional Office (Station 307). The solicitation will result in one A/E contract. The contract will be performance based, fixed price contract. The firm shall be a licensed/registered professional firm. The solicitation will be issued as a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside based on market research obtained from the Sources Sought notice VA-307-10-RP-0003. Selection of a firm for interviews and negotiations shall be through an order of preference based on demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of this type of professional service. The NAICS code is 54130, (Architectural Design Services), with a size standard of $4.5 million dollars. This means that businesses furnishing the services described below, with average annual revenue over the last 3 years under $4.5 million dollars are generally considered small businesses. The requirement is provide drawings and cost estimates for the following services in Fillmore, NY, 14735: (1)Install Pressured Treated Wheelchair Ramp off existing deck; (2)Add 2 foot extension to both end wall and back wall as well as back wall of existing bathroom; (3)Remove old furnace and install new furnace and basement steps; Offerors must have established professional office space in the State of New York, within a 100-mile radius of Fillmore, NY. Award will be made based on the evaluation criteria established in the solicitation. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE RELEASED ON OR ABOUT JUNE 30, 2010.
