- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation - F1S0AB0200B002 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-31 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20090115. NAICS is 334220 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Solicitation is for commercial purchase of BRAND NAME OR EQUAL items as set forth in FAR 52.211-06. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), at Edwards AFB, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing BRAND NAME OR EQUAL products manufactured by Applied Systems Engineering, Inc. The product the AFFTC is seeking is listed as follows: NOUN: Cavity Oscillator Transmitter PART NUMBER: 870-10181 30KW 900 to 1000 MHz QUANTITY: 3 EA SPECIFICATIONS: Frequency: 900MHz-1GHz, Manually Tunable Frequency Stability: 0.02% once warmed up Power: 30kW TPO Duty Cycle: 0.002 Minimum RF Power Output Stability: 1dB or less, pulse-to-pulse RF Sample Output Connector: +30dBm Nominal Power Level, Type-N Female Output Pulse Width: 1-6us minimum range RF Output Pulse Width Accuracy: +/-100ns or less with respect to input pulse width PRF: 0-4kHz minimum Load VSWR: 2.5:1 Minimum RF Output Rise/Fall Time (10%-90%): 100ns Maximum Output Pulse Time Delay Jitter: 20ns Maximum Pulse Recovery Time: 4us Maximum Output: 75 Ohm Impedance Physical Form Factor: 19" Rack-Mountable Prime Power: Single-Phase, 110VAC, 60Hz Input Signal: TTL (50-Ohm Coax) Modulation Input, Output Pulse Tracks Input Pulse Internal Dummy Load Remote Control capability, with RF Enable/Disable at the least With regard to duty cycle, here are some examples triplet pulse trains the unit must be able to generate. The first has a pulse width of approximately 1us and the spacing can be as tight as 5us between pulses. The second will have a much longer pulse width, 6us, with a spacing of as close as 15us.
