- Recovery- This notice is provided for information purposes only. NASA LaRC issued atask order modification under existing Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)contract NNL04AA03B entitled Research Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering (ROME) fora new Data Acquisition System (DAS) for the National Transonic Facility (NTF) located atNASA/LaRC. This effort is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of2009 and is in support of the NASA Aeronautics Test Program (ATP). Subject modificationwas made using a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract type as a cost reimbursable contract wasdetermined to be the most appropriate considering the complexity, magnitude, high risk,and the unknowns that made it impractical to price as a fixed price contract. The purposeof the modification is to incorporate additional requirements into the core functionalityof the new DAS system.The ROME contract NNL04AA03B was awarded on a competitive basis.
