- This project is for the construction of a water line to tie existing Forest infrastructure to a municipal water supply (line, valves, terminations and connections), This project shall be located at the McPhee Campground entrance located on the Dolores Public Lands of the San Juan National Forest. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing approximately 6,600 feet of 3-inch PE DR 11 water line, connecting the water line to an existing 3-inch water meter, connecting the water line to an existing 2-inch water line, furnishing and installing five (5) combination air/vac valves, furnishing and installing two (2) pressure reducing valves, terminating existing supply lines at existing line splits (two cap locations), demolition, removal and disposal of existing water delivery facility, including plumbing, electrical and well pump, capping of existing well with a semi-permanent cap, seeding of areas disturbed by construction and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The allotted time for this contract is forty-five (45) days from the date of issuance of the notice to proceed. All work shall be performed within the Dolores Public Lands of the San Juan National Forest near the town of Dolores, Colorado. This project is being advertized under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and as such it is open to both large and small businesses. The solicitation for this project will be available only through the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted, in writing, to Ginger Domingos at gingerdomingos@fs.fed.us or via facsimile to 970-385-1243. All Offerors shall be registered to the Central Contractor's Registry (CCR) in accordance to FAR 52.204-7, be registered in ORCA in accordance to FAR 52.204-8, and must respond to all evaluation criteria in Section M of the solicitation to be considered responsive to this solicitation. Offerors to fail to meet these three criteria will not be considered in the Technical Evaluation of offers. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for August 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. (Details of this meeting will be included in the solicitation). All participants must RSVP by August 17, 2010 by contacting Ginger Domingos at 970-385-1245. The anticipated date for issuance of the solicitation is on or around August 12, 2010.
