- Description
- The Government is performing market research on potential sources for engineering and production services for system sustainment for the Enhanced Diagnostic Aid (EDNA) and the Viper Memory Loader Verifier (MLV). The Government is contemplating a three year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for engineering and production services for system sustainment for the EDNA and the Viper MLV. In the past, BAE Systems Electronic and Integrated Systems Inc. (BAE Systems), Nashua, New Hampshire, CAGE Code 94117, has been the only source that maintained the engineering and technical data necessary to successfully engineer, manufacture, and repair these items. BAE Systems, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these items, maintain proprietary rights to ALL technical and engineering data and drawings for these items. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Interested sources that possess the capabilities of obtaining the required technical, engineering, and manufacturing data from the original OEM, and possess the capabilities to manufacture these items can submit information regarding their capabilities. Interested sources must maintain facilities and personnel to store, maintain, and operate classified systems up to and including Secret. Information received must include (1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics), and/or (2) data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the original OEM. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN (30) DAYS FROM THE DATE THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISHED. This request for information (RFI) is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government assumes no responsibility for costs incurred by the contractorin responding to this RFI. These costs remain solely the responsibility of the responding contractor and response is voluntary. Responding to this rquest in no manner guarantees a contract will be awarded to the respondent. The information provided is to the best of the Government's knowledge of plans, desires, and general situation as it exists at this time. Please recognize that this requirement is currently in the acquisition planning phase and, therefore, all information is potentially subject to change.
