- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center-Fort Bragg, NC intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ for two (2) Engine Dynamometer Systems testers and two (2) Transmission Dynamometer Systems testers for the Directorate of Logistics (DOL). The Engine Dynamometer System shall be designed for testing diesel engines for maximum power through maximum torque. The system shall use a fixed base, stationary style, water brake dynamometer with computerized data acquisition and control. The Transmission Dynamometer System shall be designed for testing the transmissions for maximum power through maximum torque. The test stand shall be capable of testing mass-transit, on-highway and off-highway transmissions as well as both hydraulic and electronic units. Both systems shall require onsite start up work by the contractor, to include, but not limited to, installation and testing of the equipment, onsite training to include, but not limited to, maintenance instructions and proper use of software, manuals and one (1) year warranties on all equipment. This requirement will be Brand Name or Equal and will be a total set aside for Small Business Concerns. The NAICS code is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The Government anticipates issuing W91247-10-T-0054, on or around 10 March 2010. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. The RFQ, if applicable will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Potential Quoters are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any amendments. It is a requirement that all contractors doing business with the Department of Defense be registered with Central Contracting Registry (CCR) per FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration.
